Thank goodness Marina & The Diamonds are back. Marina commands power with her big voice. It's very Florence Welch-like, but she has her own unique sound. Her lyrics are deep. The latest tune, 'Starring Role,' is about her longing for a man that's in her life, but isn't romantically involved with her. It's a song for her longing. She wants to be the starring role of his heart, but probably will never get the part. It's the song's vulnerability that hooks me in. It will hook you in too.
